Looks like the S4, no idea about specs. Try a Google search.Political Correctness'.........defined

I did before and is only marked MW7000. I believe its 4ohms. I'm going to get a different pair that are 8 ohms. My 2000x will be better I think with larger and 8 ohm speakers...

Always good to know the number. My interest was mainly in the physical and mechanical design aspects of the cast basket, which Polk didn't often go with afaik, seeming to prefer stamped steel even in the current Legend line.George / NJ

Almost got to search daily anymore. The drivers are evaporating fast, not nearly as many or as much as there was several years ago

Hard to read that brochure on a phone! Thanks for pointing out the basket is metal, bent up to get less resonance. Designed here, made in Mexico.
How does this series of speakers compare to earlier Monitor 7, 10 speakers?
Anyone do an actual listening test between them?? -

But not designed well to avoid internal sound wave reflections that can hit the back of the cone and get expressed as a lack of clarity.

Did some searching around here and found out that the “old” Monitor 7 is a better speaker than the “S8 or 10”.
Well, that’s good since I have a pair of originals, 7A and 7B speakers!
