RT2000 midrange speaker weak

I have a pair of RT2000 speakers and the tweeters were blown. I just replaced them (not with the original, but with RD2516-1 since that is all that seems to be available now). Once I got the new tweeters in, one of the speakers didn't sound right. On closer examination, the midrange speaker right below the tweeter was putting out sound, but very weak. Since it is putting out sound I am assuming the speaker is OK, so I am suspecting maybe the crossover? Does anyone have any thoughts?

Update: I just swapped the two midrange speakers between RT2000's, and the speaker is weak on both sides, the other speakers performs normally in both speakers. So I guess I have a speaker problem. No idea why it would be weak but still be putting out sound.

The SL6502 is a 6 ohm tweeter while the RD2516-1 is a 4 ohm tweeter. That will change the way the crossover performs.Political Correctness'.........defined

Strange, Polk tech support told me that the RD2516-1 was a suitable replacement for the SL6502. Also, I don't think that is the issue as I replaced both tweeters and only one midrange is weak.
Had I known that the midrange wasn't working, I just found on ebay the whole tweeter (SL6502), midrange, crossover, and cover assembly for sale for not much more than I paid for the RD2516-1's. -
Now my CS400i center channel has a weak tweeter and one weak midrange, so back to Polk I go for some new drivers. Watch, this time it will turn out to be the crossover! :-D
