Verizon cell service sucks

Nope, just had a call come in. HD Voice still sucks. lol
Could just be my old Galaxy.
I think it's just the 3G CDMA that's completely unsupported, but for some reason 4G requires the HD enablement? I don't know why. I'll probably try to find a way to get around this.
To better explain the effect I experience with HD calling, it's like all the body of the audio is sucked out leaving only the highs. No weight. Kinda distracting, actually.

I remember when CDMA and TDMA launched... they both sucked. I was around and part of the rollout on the TDMA side with L.A. Cellular, which became AT&T in Los Angeles. I spent more time trying to fine-tune the phones to sound better than I did installing new ones. The original analog still sounds the best IMHO, and they are far less intrusive into your personal life as well. The trouble is except for 911 services, those old phones don't work on any network these days.

My wife and I got new phones, new to us used, a couple months ago.
Our carrier notified us our iPhone 5’s would no longer be supported shortly.
Digital is nice in some ways but, sucks in other ways… -
My verizon phone is 4g lte. No hd calling option.
No issues right now. And they billed me.
I'll go check my account for messages.
I guess the real solution is to drop $$$
On a new phone. At least that's the one
they are pushing.

We might still have a bag phone in the basement...
(no, actually, we don't -- but I was a pretty early adopter, and we used that sucka until... we couldn't)
I do know our '93 Explorer had a bona fide car phone.
The car phone was long-since out of service when this EOL photo of the interior was taken in 2005. -

When I gritted my teeth and got a smart phone last year, since 3G was going away, VZN had a Samsung that was free... so I got one of those. It's junk, of course, but it does work -- at least, sort of.
I think it's an A20s or something like that...
I really liked, and do miss, my previous phone.
It was a little tedious to send texts with it -- but it worked.

OK, so no messages in my account, no emails. I might go talk
to a store guy. The phone shouldn't work. But it does.
I see 4g lte is still supported for home wireless internet.
My samsung is pretty beat up, may be ready for a change
anyway.
So why did so many people have to find out the hard way?
They could of texted everyone. It's not like they don't know
my number.

Like I said if both phones have it engaged to me it's like we are standing there talking to each other. Much clearer and all the body you have in person face to face. If only one has it it sounds like a far away cell call. Night and day difference. Besides who the h3ll talks to anybody anymore? My kids want to have a 3 hr conversation over text. F-that I call them! I farkin hate to converse at length over text. HATE IT!
Beside I have 10'000 some odd minutes to use on my tracfone by 2028

So the announcement says 4g non-voLTE is dead,
But really that's not the case. 4g LTE is OK. Checked
With Verizon store around the corner. 4g LTE will be good
for years to come. Nothing like clear communications.

Can’t speak to 4G folks, but they definitely notified 3G’ers many times by mail and/or other means last year.
I even had to call them, b/c they ordered a free phone to be shipped at 9:30 pm in the evening in the fall, without my consent or request. Needless to say they got an earful.
This is also why I left Verizon.

911 calls won't work on older equipment pretty soon either. -
I love my Verizon Service and when I worked at the Apple Store, their service was the easiest to upgrade. My ONLY issue with them is price. On the old analog equipment, location tracking was very difficult to perform. TDMA/CDMA was a step in that direction, as a signal could be triangulated with a location to within a couple hundred yards. 4G got that down to within 50 feet, and 5G gets that to under 10... all while not improving call quality, but they can sure blitz you with advertising, and they can track you wherever you go. An authoritarian tracking system that we pay for under the guise of freedom....

Something I've noticed since I was basically forced to enable HD voice. Now when I call someone I never hear the ringing sound...bizarre.Political Correctness'.........defined

I still don't understand why my phone still works.
VoLTE is required. My phone doesn't support it.
No hd voice option. All the Verizon information
says this phone shouldn't be working. It's not on
the list of supported devices either.
Either way, I don't think anyone can hear a pin drop!

They also had DNA from the knife sheath, They ran that through one of the those public DNA ancestry sites. So remember this when you submit DNA to see your heritage it becomes public use and you no longer have control over your own DNA. They have a right to amplifiy it and save for future uses. -

It is also how they know there was massive fraud in 2020.... but in that case the data is bogus, and in the case of the Idaho 4 it is perfectly legit. The Gear...
