Polk React Volume problems

My Polk React soundbar frequently loses volume when switching between apps or using Alexa. The volume goes down to about 5% on its own. I'm considering taking it offline and just using the hdmi arc feature and see if that makes any difference in stability. Very annoying problem. I've tried everything else including factory reset and support doesn't seem to have an answer. Any ideas?
