I could use a little help here. Has anyone seen now to order the case to make an internal repair. I keep getting the "No Disc" error and I would like to open up and try to clean the lens. I also purchased a replacement laser assembly it the cleaning fails.
This is a mystery how to get to the internals.
Thanks for any advice.

I found some info that stated to unscrew the feet and you'll find the screws that attach the top cover in those holes.Political Correctness'.........defined

If you do have to replace the laser, typically there is an anti-static solder bridge that has to be removed. I don't know if the Cary laser has one but it's worth finding out.

The feet do not need to be removed. There are 2 hidden screw holes under the “warranty voided if tampered with “ stickers.
There is very limited information on the net. -

Thanks for spilling the beans, that makes more sense.
At first I was studying pics online to see if I could figure it out. Next, I searched for discussions and found mention of the feet, so I went back to looking at pics and I just wasn't seeing the feet thing as there are boards/components in the way. However, since that was the only info I found I thought well maybe.

I had the player right in front of me and couldn't figure it out. I had to email Cary and ask for the secret.
Regarding the CD 306 and CD 306 Pro Version players, there really are no user serviceable parts inside.
The thing that typically fails is the laser assembly/transport assembly. Cary took Sony's SCD-1 transport
and modified it, changing it from a top loading transport to a front loading/sliding drawer transport...and that's where the troubles began.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country!
