Fentanyl

It sure seems every new wave of drugs is worse than the last.
This stuff seems to be everywhere. It's so cheap to make that
the cartels are mixing it into everything and making it look like
prescription pills. Weed is even getting tainted with it.
It's so strong even a couple of salt grain sized pieces are fatal.
China exports the raw chemicals and cartels whip it up in their
Mexican labs.
It doesn't help that we exposed our youth to ADD meds.
My wife knows a lot of moms with middle class kids that have
fallen into drugs. Almost every one of them said they had their
kids on them because of teacher/doctor advise.
A lot of my two sons friends were on ADD. A lot of them have
problems. My younger son dropped his friends in high school
because of their drug use. Both my sons thankfully avoided
This awful epidemic.
Studies say ADHD is perfectly safe. But real life sure seems to
tell a different story.

Fentanyl kills before it becomes an addiction, and is hidden inside the formulation of seemingly liegit medications. Scary crap indeed.

We recently lost a young fellow locally who was smoking a joint that was laced with fentanyl. Sadly it killed him.
Agreed; it is a terrible and unbelievably potent drug.

The whole opiate thing was caused by greedy drug companies.
Add to it a bunch of doctors who put their brains in neutral.
Not addictive? That made my head hurt.
Antidepressants are another wave of trouble. They hand them out
like candy. And it seems it causes a lot of people to kill themselves.
I see those online pharmacies are selling them now. Answer a few
questions in a chat session and you are good or go.
What happened to the medical industry? It seems they are
NOT looking out for our best interests.

Not just from the medical industry. Street drugs will get worse with what's going on at the border along with a worsening economy and a more detached generation. It reminds me of Italy. In speaking with relatives they say that at least 1/4 of kids in school are on drugs due to the same combination of factors.

I could never understand the allure of Fentanyl from a Drug pushers point of view. Why sell a drug that is going to kill the customer? Your not going to get any repeat buisness, right?

So then the only other logical explaination is it's sold with the intention to kill people....and that does not seem like it's coming from a buisness that depends on repeat customers.

I think we have reason to conclude that it is highly likely part of a Death by a Thousand Cuts plan by the CCP to weaken our country and help them become the world superpower.

As horrible as this (and several others as well) drug is/are, the Libertarian in me says "Your Body, Your Choice" - just don't ask me to fund the drugs or the detox treatment.

I find it contradictory that there is such a high(pun) level of acceptance of marijuana, prescription pain killers and antidepressants, yet we still villainize cocaine, heroin, etc...

Due to it's high potency mixing is tricky. A little pocket of fentanyl
Is fatal. So when making a batch of pills or lacing something else,
this is the result. Some of the end product is dangerous.
As long as most of it is good, so what? It's just a cost of doing
business. Who are you going to complain to?
We are victims of our own vices. That includes myself and my
bouts with alcohol in my younger days. I made sure my kids
didn't get the drug lecture. They got a description of the effects
of all of it on people and the problems it causes. That included
my ugly side. They appear to have listened.

Fentanyl isn't designed to kill it's just so potent that it's easy to OD if you're not extremely exact with dosing.

Fentanyl is China's modern version of the Boxer Wars.
This time they're winning and payback is proving to be a M-O-F-O

    https://www.brookings.edu/research/china-and-synthetic-drugs-control-fentanyl-methamphetamines-and-precursors/

According to this the ingredients are being sourced from China and turned into Fentanyl in Mexico then smuggled up.

I am in possession of some Delta8 gummies I would like to have analyzed that a well meaning friend gifted me to help with sleep etc.. He had given me a bottle months before that came from the same dispensary shop and they were extremely mild and with the same label on the jar. "Maybe" slightly psychoactive in that my dreams were a bit more memorable. Well I took one of these gummies and lets just say that I didn't get back to feeling normal for an entire week and it was not a pleasant experience at all, especially for the first day. One of the symptoms was an erratic heartbeat which is not at all THC like to my knowledge whatsoever.

I have "heard" that gummies from China are also turning up laced with Fentanyl.

    FWIW.

I don't think anyone here can provide evidence. Just quote the internet.
That is all we have. Given how even news services are in the modern
age, we can't always count on them either. Credible sources are telling
us that it's finding it's way into all sorts of things. The grass one maybe
true, maybe not. Depends on who you believe. My take on it is if you
Smoke weed, be mindful of where you're getting it from.
You even have to be careful about cheap vape products. No drugs, but
some of the Chinese ones are pretty shady. Got knows what impurities
are in them. This is the modern age.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your grandson's friend. I would certainly be interested in reading the toxicology report/death certificate from the coroner.

Regardless of the cause of death, it's truly unfortunate when someone is taken well before their time. May he rest in peace.

I thought the Fentanyl Crawl was a hip-hop move.
With 2 million illegal immigrants invading this year at the border, you can bet this epidemic is just the beginning. Same modus operandi that brought down Europe.

The appetite of America for drugs have ruined Mexico and
a bunch of countries in South America. Immigration or not
stuff has been rolling in for years. Nobody has a fix. Legalizing
It doesn't seem to solve anything. The documentary
"Seattle is dying" and it's sequel really drive this home.
They suggested arresting them and pushing rehab and
aggressive follow up consoling. Just leaving them on the
    streets does not help anyone.
