Legend L400 is on the way....

Scored a killer deal from Best Buy for the L400, so I pulled the trigger on it. With the direction my rig is taking, it was an essential piece of the puzzle to get the best from my system. I am also looking at the 265LS in-walls so I can voice match all the way around. Pictures when it gets here.

You may already be aware but the Legend series are on sale for 20% off. If you purchase from the Polk site you can get another 10% off if you subscribe to their email list (a window should pop up when you first start browsing the site). Apply the code when you get to the payment section. Polk also offers free expedited shipping.

Definitely not the deal the OP scored but it is pretty good. I am still on the fence if I want to upgrade LSiM home theater setup with the Legends. This current sale makes it very tempting although I have never heard the Legends in person.

OK... only an hour's worth of time on this, but I can tell you that if you have the L600/L800, this center should be considered an essential purchase.... more to come.

I tried searching but what center channel were you using before? Have you ever had the LSiM 706C to compare?

I was using the center channel from my old RM 7500 set. It worked pretty well but this is night and day difference. I never did have the 706

Thanks for clarifying. You have a great looking setup/room, stray dinosaurs and all :) .

A play pen would tie it all together

The only thing that bugs me about the center so far is the uncentered “POLK” logo. This should have been on the center bottom of the grill, and if there was not room to make it work, it should have been left off and let the customer decide where it should be placed.

    Thanks mate.

My room is nearly 6 mtrs square so placement is difficult. Ive done a lot of research on square rooms and played around heaps and where they are is about the best compromise. Gives me a good soundstage width and depth for 2 channel.

What about the obligatory Hendrix perm?
