    @Clipdat I found an original Marantz remote for it at Goodwill, of all places. Just stumbled across it while browzing the shelves one day. I guess they used the same model remote for similar players of that era. It doesn't have the Ah! Njoe sticker, but it works just fine.

    That CD player sounded fantastic, but it wasn't being used since I replaced it with the Oppo 203 and Tri Vista combo.

    Still playing discs here. Most of our listening is cd.
    I rotate these….
    Pioneer DV-AX10, Marantz BD8002 and an Oppo 105D. Love em all.

    a separate stand alone DAC "will" up the ante, significantly (with the right one, of course . . .

    I highly recommend going this route, if possible .. . . just my 0.02

    I believe you might hear an improvement when trying a player that is just for audio discs, versus a player that plays back both audio and video discs.

    I have an Oppo 105 that sounds good, but the 205 sounds better and when i hooked up the Lampizator Amber 3 (separate DAC) . . . it sounded better still
