Polk S4 with earc

So I have s4 connecting to my lg cx and Apple TV 4K. If I turn off earc, I can get blue light for atmos movies and green light for non atmos movies on my s4 through Netflix on Apple TV 4K. However, if I turn on earc on lg cx, which I think should be the correct setting since s4 supports earc, I can get blue light for atmos movies but only white light for non atmos movies. I can never get green light. Also, for ps5, I can get green light when earc is off but white light when earc is on.
Is there something wrong? I assume green light is the correct setting for non atmos movies/games? Because of this, I have to turn off earc on my tv. But I think turning on should be the correct setting but then I will not get green light dhoby sound?

How long is the cable to the S4 and what is it's rated bandwidth? If it's the included cable you may want to try upgrading it.

I’m using other hdmi2.1 cables. I don’t think it’s the cable problem. Atmos has no problem but dhoby sound movies. Normal 5.1 dhoby don’t need hdmi2.1.
