I still remember how lovely the Sony SS-AR1 sounded mated with Rogue Audio gear at the first AXPONA show I attended back in 2014.
Yeah, they are $27K speakers ($20K SS-AR2).... Maybe you can find some used ones in the $7K-10K range? I guess that's still a massive chuck of Bitcoin. You don't need help, you'll figure out the right replacement speaker.

I worked at the Sony CRT factory in San Diego. They had these in the family store for some time. The employee cost was great, just not enough room in the townhouse we lived in. The few people who did get them all loved them. Made my Advent's sound like an AM radio.When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
