Upgraded TV but my Signa 2.0 Soundbar doesn't sound the same

Hello,
I have had a Signa 2.0 soundbar for several years and love it. I recently upgraded my TV (same brand but newer model) and the sound quality has diminished. I had a 55 inch Vizio M-series (10+ years old) and bought a Vizio 65 inch P-Series Quantum LED.

I plan to add a receiver and surround sound system eventually, but I don't understand why the same soundbar on a newer TV doesn't sound as good???

What about the sound is different?
  • It's not as powerful nor is the quality as good. Another odd thing, which I would not have cared about if it sounded good, is that when I had it on volume level 30 or above when connected to my old TV the sound was powerful and immersive. However, I have to crank the volume much higher (into the 40's) to even get it as loud as it was before.

Talk to the TV manufacturer, and ask why they lowered the signal output.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
    Three 20 amp circuits.
  • Vizio support stinks. There is only an online knowledge base and no one to talk to.
