TL1600 Subwoofer 60Hz hum

I previously contacted Tech support over this. I have had "TWO" TL1600 subwoofers that have 60Hz hum when no inputs, neither the RCA input or the Hi Level Line Inputs, are connected. Absolutely no connections, just plugged into 120VAC.
I contacted tech support previously and walked through this. Tech support did say the subwoofer was defective and shouldn't hum, which it shouldn't. So I returned one set of TL1600 and bought another. The 2nd TL1600 subwoofer did the exact same hum.
Further research proved this is a common issue where others have stated this problem, on some forums and even Crutchfield's own reviews.
While this technically should not be happening, I guess it's a design flaw. While I'm not really happy with this performance hum, I'm eased knowing that it's common and not a failing power supply.
My question is, has Polk ever found a solution to this problem and how can it be implemented?
I really like this little subwoofer. It has tight accurate bass that is perfect for small bookshelf speakers even though it doesn't go very low in the bass frequencies.
