i heard some sda 2's today. they are for sale at a local shop and the drivers are in great condition. the cab's however need a little help. the side of one of the cabs is coming unglued but thats a small problem. one grill is alittle pilly and the polk audio sign falls out.
he wants $500 for them, but he said around and i know i can get him to drop the price because he doesnt have alot of respect for the speakers. he had said 300-400 and then looked up their new retail and decided 500 was a better price. there is no sda cable. are they a good deal at 500? it would actually be a little less the 500 because i can get bargain down the price. he took them in on a trade so he probably isnt too interested in making tons of cash on them. and he also said they arent worth alot more then 3 times.
what do you guys think?

no1 knows if this is a good deal or not huh? how much do they usually sell for?

The latest edition of the SDA 2, the 2B version, sells in the range of $350 to $500. I don't know the average selling prices for the SDA 2. Here's a link to a pair of SDA 2s that recently sold on Ebay for $500:

With the speakers in the condition you mentioned and considering they are the earliest version without the SDA cable, I would'nt give more than $300 for them.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -
those speakers you showed me are not what i saw. what i saw looked like the sda's in ur rig raife, the big ones, except it only had 2 mids and 1 tweet, and then the pr. the model number on the back did say sda 2 though, so whats going on?
ok so i think i saw the 2b's instead. were the 2b's less expensive? i think you are right, $300 seem's like a good deal. -
O.K., what you are describing is the SDA 2B. The label on the back only said SDA 2 because Polk often didn't produce a new label when new SDA versions came out. Therefore, the SDA 2, SDA 2A, and SDA 2B might all have the label "SDA 2" on the back.
The SDA 2B, being the latest and most improved version is the most expensive of the SDA 2 versions.
Polk no longer sells the interconnect cable, but a replacement can easily be made.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -
so is 400 and sumthin too much for some sda 2bs?

For SDA 2Bs with missing parts and cosmetic defects, $400 is more than I would be willing to pay.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country!
