I have the Polk Magnifi max SR and when there is no media playing the entire system makes noises. I tore my attic apart looking for raccoons
Come to find out it was my system in the warm house. I updated everything i could and still no resolution. This seems to still be a problem 2 yrs later. Is there a fix. Paid a lot of money for this to be normal..

When it's unplugged does the noise go away?

    1) Your troubleshooting abilities need work.

    2) A lot of money is relative.

    3) Soundbars are throwaway items, move on.

    4) As great as Polk speakers are, the soundbars leave a lot to be desired. See #3.

    5) Sorry, I wish I could be more helpful, but, truthfully, just move on.

You could try contacting Polk customer service directly as they do not monitor this thread.

I purchased a Magnifi Max SR a few months ago and it suffers from crackling in the surrounds as well as popping in the subs. I've had the sub replaced and it has the same issue. Polk is sending replacement surrounds, but I don't have high hopes. From everything I've read, it seems like these issues are due to wifi interference. (Which makes sense, my router is in my living room.) I've had some temporary luck moving the sub around to different places in the room, but in the end, the issues always return. It's a shame because this system, when working properly, is solid. People have been hoping for a firmware update to fix these issues for years now. I'm thinking of returning or seeing if I can swap for a different system.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had any luck finding a fix for this.

Could you try a wifi extender to have next to the sub/sats for a stronger signal?
