    Now joining the ranks of the Purge is the Anthem Pre1. Very nice and quiet tube preamp with phono. Uses 2 6922s in the line section and 2 12AT7s and 2 6922s in the phono section. Also, 5AR4 resides in the separate power supply.

    Tubes are:
    Sovtek 5AR4
    2x Reflektor 6N23P-EV/6922 (6H23N-EB) in the Line stage,
    2x JAN Philips 12AT7WC + 2x Reflektor 6N23P-EV/6922 (6H23N-EB) in the Phono stage.

    Line stage offers 12 or 29 db of gain. Phono is fixed at 48db.

    I haven't advertised this one anywhere else...yet. Looking for $600 plus shipping and fees. Includes box and manual. I bought this 5 years ago from Parts Connexion.

    From my research when I was looking to buy the RME ADI-2, and it can be confusing distinguishing the different versions, it seems the original version with the AKM 4490 chip has the original 11-key remote but some newer units of these version may have the newer 22-keys remote.

    The version 2 with the AKM 4493 will have the 22 keys remote, as well as new filter “SD low dispersion.” And it should have a letter “B” at the end of the serial number (only on the tag on the back of the dac but not on label on outside of the packaging box).

    Version 3 (or the ESS version) has the newer remote and you guess it, a letter “C” at the end of the serial number on the back of the DAC.

    However, on the RME forum, there is at least one poster that claimed his V2 is “different” from his friend’s V2 version, including not having the Kingston lock feature at the rear. And supposedly there are also different versions of board inside. So there maybe overlap production versions, who knows.

    * Note that the above is based from information gleaned from online forums, especially the RME forum and not directly from the company, RME Audio, so can’t attest to the accuracy of it.

    For those playing RME Jeopardy at home, mine has the 22-key remote, no “b” on the serial number, the Kingston lock (on the DC power jack), AND the “SD LD” filter.

    Thanks, @engie490 for the fail-safe packing, speedy ship, accurate description, bonus faceplate, and overall excellent deal. I've missed my 66 Magnum since selling to Russ and am very happy to have found a replacement at, what I consider to be, a very reasonable price. Couldn't be happier.

    Only problem is that 88 magnum amp keeps whispering to me...

    Bozak DM-6000s were sold today. The funny thing is that as the guy came in the house, I recognized him. Several years back, I purchased a beautiful set of Infinity RS-IIAs (with the bass equalizer) from him. They never really sang in my then much smaller space, so I moved them along. Of course, now I have the room for them and they are gone.

    Anyway, I'm going to add my Infinity Quantum 3s to the list. I picked these up locally and the woofers needed refoaming and the domes needed repair. The doems had the ubiquitous wire breakage on the faceplate. I sent the woofers to Watkins to be properly refoamed and the domes to Millersound.

    I just set them up downstairs and enjoyed a brief listen. They sound great.

    There are some minor blemishes on the cabinet and the grilles need new cloth, but the drivers are in great condition (ok,...one midbass coupler has a pushed in dust cap).
