Signa S2 with a Vizio M470sl Tv. Cannot get the sound to come thru the sound bar. Help!!

Connections are as described it the setup guide. TV speakers set to off, input set to PCM. Using the HDMI cable. No sound thru the soundbar. What am I doing wrong?

There have been people with a similar situation and they solved the problem by turning up the volume on the TV.
