I'm really late to this party. I would have snagged the Touch. What a great deal. I have 2 Classics at our home up north and I use a Touch here at our winter residence that I take back and forth. My entire CD collection is ripped to my laptop for transportability.

You guys all probably know this, but you don't need a remote for your squeezeboxes. You can download an app called "Squeezer" to your phone or tablet and use that instead of the remote.

I totally forgot about that app! Glad you brought it up.

I think the 'Orange Squeeze' app may be a touch better, but it may not be free. Maybe @msg can comment. If a person wants to run Spotify on SBT, there are a few hoops to jump through since Spotify and Logitech parted ways a few years ago, but it is doable. A third-party app called 'Spotty' is necessary, along with running Logitech Media Server (LMS) on a local 'server'.

The SD card (or Micro-SD w/adapter) on a SBT can handle a 64GB card. I know that is a fraction of what most streamers today can hold within the player itself, but just FYI. There are NAS options with the SBT as well.

@jdjohn - Indeed, Orange Squeeze is the most robust I found for Android, yeah. Great presentation, feature rich, easy to use. I also like it better than iPeng for iOS ($10), which I use on older Apple devices I keep around for the various things they do better than Android.

I think Orange Squeeze was $6 last I saw, but the developer has retired the project as of April 2020, saying:
Attention! As of April 2020 and version 2.5, Orange Squeeze is in maintenance mode only and no new features or bug fixes will be made. You can still purchase the app if you like and the generous refund policy still applies.
Well worth the money to me.

IMHO, if you run LMS and Squeeze players, or even just a single Squeezebox, and you run Android devices, Orange Squeeze is practically a requirement if you enjoy refinements in customization, reliability and control.
