Polk magnifimax

I recently purchased the polk magnimax. It was working great fine initially. Then I carried out the firmware upgrade and now everytime you adjust the volume button it somehow disconnects the sound and you have to press the TV button again to hear the sound. It was not like this when I purchased the product. Please help
