    Ethernet, HDMI, RCA, XLX, USB, power cords.... some of it is for the turntable. Bottom line is things got way too complicated. With kids, and the way my listening sessions have changed, the system I am setting up is easier to manage, easier to use and just as much fun.

    Dang John, I can't see how all that cabling didn't have some sway over your sound. Remember years ago when the mantra around here was the Kiss approach.....Keep It Simple Stupid. Became harder to do when we started using one system for HT and 2 channel.

    I’m thinking the same thing Tony. My system got so complicated that I was actually losing performance somewhere in there. This Arcam was designed from the ground up to be an exceptional two channel preamp before anything else.

    There has been no appreciable degradation in sound quality by removing the Pass Labs gear. I expect even greater performance after I am able to run Dirac. Hopefully I can get that done sometime this week.

    Good John, you don't have to sell me on using high end processors for 2 channel. I've been touting them for years. Most have exceptional quality parts and really good dacs in them. Too bad there was never a tube processor made that wasn't a new car investment. Rock on with your bad self.
