I'm thinking of getting a refurb Marantz CD6006 to replace my cheap multi disc CD player, any opinions?

    Buy it, you won’t be disappointed. I have had a 6005 for years, solid player.
    2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

    Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

    Cant go wrong with a Marantz I've got several cd players and SACD players all Marantz. I still use a CD 5004 in the Bedroom set up and it has played thousands of CDs thought it would of worn out by now but it still is performing like the day I bought it many years ago. That CD6006 is a good player.

    I thinking this or a new phono amp. I'm waiting for the Musical Fidelity M6si to get back in stock in Feb. and I was wondering if the phono section on it would be better than what I have now. The Parasound Zphono with USB? If it is I'll get the Marantz. It's a Christmas present from my wife as we don't want to spend much on Christmas this year for each other as we have spent a lot on things for the new house we bought in April. We are also extending our patio and adding a big arbor in the back yard this month which won't be cheap.

    Well the refurb CD6006 isn't available anymore and I've read where some people had issues with the CD6005.

    I thought about trying to get a Rotel CD11 Tribute CD Player, but no one has a black one in stock.
