Intermittent sound on Center Channel

Hello,
I have this recurring issue with my center channel speaker, which is the CS1 monitor series II. At times when I start a new show, the center channel sounds low, off or muffled until I turn the volume up to a ridiculous levels, which then "pops" it and results with the normal sound coming back.
I've checked the speaker cables several times and made sure they're firm and intact. Any suggestions?

Do you have another speaker you can replace it with temporarily just to see if the source is your AVR or the speaker?Gustard X26 Pro DAC
Belles 21A Pre modded with Mundorf Supreme caps
B&K M200 Sonata monoblocks refreshed and upgraded
Polk SDA 1C's modded / 1000Va Dreadnaught
Wireworld Silver Eclipse IC's and speaker cables
Harman Kardon T65C w/Grado Gold. (Don't laugh. It sounds great!)

Unfortunately I don't have another spare speaker to try out, but I'm open to other suggestions.
Thanks. -
Pretty sure you have a dieing channel in your amplifier. You can swap which speaker is connected to that channel to confirm- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
