The temperature in the Bay Area of CA was forecast to only be in the 60s today (Friday), and it is. I was able to turn my amps on at 8 AM so they would be ready at 6 PM to start playing Friday night music, and they sound great. I used to love summer, but those days are over. In this weather I can keep the windows closed and blast the stereo without having to run the AC, or multiple fans.

I've been thinking the same thing lately. In the upper Midwest the weather is cooling. Our neighborhood is dead quiet at night most times and while I like the fresh air it will be nice to close the windows and listen at higher levels without it echoing down the street...

A couple weeks ago the temps here started to cool down,so I swapped amps, and put the hot running First Watt J2 in my main listening room. I like summer, but there’s nothing like stereo weather. You hit the nail on the head.

I like this time of year, I don't have to run heat in my audio room usually until late November, the equipment keeps it warm enough powered up 24/7.

We'll also be doing more indoor tunes...along with taking the cover off the shuffleboard. I will miss the warmer weather though. Was nice sitting on the deck listening to tunes while the dogs played in the back yard. Also missing the "night creatures" that provide their music in late summer.

Not looking forward to winter though.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

I can't even imagine how well a set of X600.5's will heat a room, especially a smaller to normal sized room with 8 ft. ceilings. There has to be some serious heat coming from those amps during spirited listening.

At your level, have you ever considered or listened to a set of Class D (NCore based, Purifi based, Bel Canto, Nord, D-Sonic, PS Audio, etc.), Class H (Benchmark AHB2, etc.), or Hybrid (Rogue Hydra, Dragon, etc.) amps that you like and would ever consider using for 'Summer/Spring' months? Just curious...
