I have multiple receivers (3) in different rooms, I would also like to have a tv signal in the garage. So instead of getting an additional one can I split the signal from one of the other rooms and share it to the garage? If so where do i put the spliter, after the receiver before the bedroom tv?
Any help would be great thanks,
Arni.

    NO,
Dss receivers need a direct feed from the Dish.Depending on what type of dish you have 16,20 or 24 you might need a multiswitch.
20 and 24 inch dish can support up to 4 runs by itself. No multiswitch is needed. If you have a 18 inch disch, upgrade it to the 20,then you can simply run a line(rg6)to the garage from the dish.
Sharing dss receivers can be done but you need to have a RF model. This will give you control in the garage.bad part is whatever room you share off of,that room will have to display the same channel.
To share a room, run a rg6 feedfrom the TV out of the dss receiver to the TV in in the gagare VIA coax input/outputs.You can run line level, but depending on the run,you might need an amp or a powered run.

    Arni,
I use this Recoton multiswitch such as this:

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051384450384&skuId=3213597&type=product

it goes from satellite to the switch to rooms. It works great, and it doesn't need powered. I tried a regular coax splitter and it didn't work. This one is a bit pricy, but it works.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
