I actually saw a 2021 Ford Cougar.

I parked at Lowe's home imp. the other day and behind me was a viciously rumbling :o muscle car that looked a lot like a Mustang but not really. It was the baddest looking car I've seen or heard since the Mustang Saleens came out. B)

It had big "Cougar head" decals on the front corner panels behind the wheels. Probably NFL NC Panther Decals now that I think about it.

My mind just reminded me to look it up and see if Cougars were being manufactured again.

Well, sort-of.

This car was black on black. I thought it was a cop car! :D It held my attention as I walked away from it. It was STILL sitting there rumbling when I came back out which wasn't that long of a time anyway. I think I read there's a 500hp motor swap out that is possibly done with one Company's changeover. I think I heard 500 horses ready to go in this car I saw. B)

I think there are a couple of aftermarket refitting companies making these body mods. The one I saw WAS an instant eye catcher to a car watcher for sure! B):p

They're out there... :D

There used to be one who converted a Camaro into a Firebird, but I'm not sure if they are still doing the conversions.

I was just checking a 1969 one on CL.
It would be a good retirement project

It could become "retirement enjoyment" instead of a "retirement project". ;):)

    yup,

But you might want to pass now. I don't think she aged so well. I'm going to look again. I always thought she one of the hottest women back then. She was even hot in Pee-Wee Herman's movie. :p

Hey...I'll bet a million men would still take her out to dinner and a movie. ;)

This is her I believe about 30lbs lighter, still fine for 70-71. I would be all in on that.

I agree for 71, she's still standing on top of the ground and looking better, A LOT better than some her age.

I'm glad she lost those lbs.. ;)

She'll live longer for it. <3

Sounds way too nice for me. I'm looking at a roller. As in a 10 year project.

I believe you are are referring to Lingenfelter Performance. That Cougar looks like something they could pull off.

I did like the late 80s. Early 90s Cougar XR7 .... I think XR7. It was basically a Thunderbird Super Coupe. But the C- pillar was slightly different IIRC. That's Supercharged 3.8l V6 had tons of TQ. At least for the 90s.

I worked at a mechanic shop in 2000. Got in one to reverse it out of the parking spot to drive into the shop. I hit the gas in reverse and the tires squealed like crazy. It was frowned upon by the owner. Lots of TQ I tell ya.

I didn't know there were any 2021 cougars. I thought 40 years or more were required to achieve that status. :|
