I picked up a set of B&W DM1400 speakers for $50.00 today. I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but they are beautiful speakers. Does anyone have any experience with these? I have never listened to B&W before. How do you characterize the sound? Thanks, Jeff

I have heard them and found them to sound Old school. Not much detail but had the old school warmth. They don't sound like todays or even a few years back B&W speakers.

For 50 bucks thats great.I'm sure you will like them at that price.

If not I'mm also sure you'll have no problems moving them.

    Good luck with them

I will try to hook them up this week. With 4 kids, I never get the time to really listen anymore. I probably use my HT rig about 2 hours a week. I MISS IT!

Nice find for $50 bucks Warlocks. They appear to be in excellent condition. Enjoy and let us know what you think once you get a chance to listen to them. I enjoy the classic warmth of older monitors as I own several pair of older speakers in that category (not B&Ws though).
