Deep Thoughts about the Forum

Why is the header for Classifieds, WTB, events, and the Clubhouse called "Flea Market"....this has always bothered me. Would I hang out at a flea market and 'relax and talk about my day' or look to attend an audio related event? Prolly not....I wouldn't hang out longer than I had to at an actual flea market....

And just how many fleas are sold at any given market?

I had to look that up to see how they trained them.

Does SNL do these bits anymore? I don't know that I've ever seen a full SNL episode. Same with Seinfeld. If I have, it's only been one or two.
    Or two or three.
    Maybe just two.
Yes, yes, I think just the two.

Does anyone here follow trends in the Flea Market?
I wonder if there's an investment opportunity there.
I was thinking of our more -- you know -- financially savvy members. B)

Perhaps this is of Leo, the Dark Lord.

We visit Leo on our daily perambulation. We call him and he trots down from his humans' front porch to receive our worship. I refer to this ritual as summoning the powers of darkness.

Probably the same one that folks used in the 'seventies to find it funny -- although it's legal now in many places. :#

A Flea Market suggests noteworthy used finds and bargain hunting. 🤔

What else are you going to call it? Classifieds? Sure, it works, but it’s a bit sterile. Flea Market sounds more fun.

Is it important? On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is most important, for me it would be 1. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah but....events and the clubhouse (a place to relax and talk about your day) under Flea Market? This has bothered me since day 1 of getting on board of the SS Polk Forum. Only until recently have I been able to express my confusion and bewilderment with this heading. Perhaps I need help!

I always thought the Misc. Deal of the Day thread should be under Flea Market and that you have to be a member to view it. The way it is now, any deals we post can be seen by anyone.

I essentially always use the "Recent Messages Discussions" button to browse this forum, so I rarely if ever notice which (sub) forum any given thread's in.

This is a....button sir?!? Ahhh, there is is, clearly hidden at the bottom of the page.

If you miss an episode OF SNL you can always tune in to CNN OR MSNBC..
    Same difference
."Tune in" is an archaic broadcast term that means...to "tune in".

Say, while you're in the neighborhood Hermitian could you add/combine the pic of the alien snail with the pic of the wussy willow ?
(and no, it's not a fern. I know a wussy when I see one)

    For scientifical purposes.Thanks.
