Polk Magnify Max - three tones, no sound

I've had this unit for a couple of years now, and I've been pretty happy with it, but at the moment all I'm getting out of it is 3 escalating tones about every minute, and no actual sound. No connections or anything else have been adjusted.
I've tried keeping both sub and bar unplugged for a while (10 minutes minimum), tried holding the sync button (only button there is) on the sub for 30 seconds, and nothing's changed. I just the 3 tones every so often.
Is there something else I could be trying?
