Man it’s just my luck today. I received my long awaited brand new VPI 12” Fatboy Gimbal... what a beast.

This will be a great partner to my current gen Unipivot 12” Fatboy...

Still have to figure the cart for this arm.

    It'll be interesting to hear your opinion on the uni vs gimbal. Seems like it's not very often you get to hear both side by side.

    I have a fiend with both on his Avenger table. Our observation after a little cartridge swapping is that the gimbaled arm tends to be a little more dampened than the unipivot dual pivot in his system. If a cartridge is a little on the “precise” side of the cartridge spectrum he tends to place it on the gimbaled arm where as he puts his “warmer”cartridge on the unipivot. The different is small but consistent.
