Tweeters blown in monitor 60s

Hi guys... I cant find anything useful on the interwebs. I have monitor 60 2s and both have blown the tweeter. I am giong to replace but was wondering are there any upgrades that can be done here? Are there even any other tweets that will fit?

You can always upgrade the caps and resistors, but before doing anything you need to figure out why the tweeters blew. In fact, you should verify they are blown and it's not the crossovers.
I should add, if it is the tweeters you should verify with Polk that replacements are available.Political Correctness'.........defined

So the tweeters blew because my young daughters have curious fingers and wanted to see if they would still make noise if they held their fingers on them. I can find replacement ones...but was was wondering if there is a "better one" to put in. Much like the SL2000 being the better of its "family". Just cant find much info on anybody making improvements to these speakers unlike the SDAs.

Thanks for all your help Sir. But...sadly they removed the grilles to investigate.
