rt3000p hookup question

Options
Hello, I just got a pair of rt3000p speakers in great shape and I'm a bit confused as the proper hookup since they are powered. Can i hook these up to a receivers normal front A terminals or must i have front pre outs ?. I currently have an older Yamaha 5.1 receiver but it doesn't have pre outs. If i do need one with pre outs could someone recommend a suitable model ? I'm hoping if i have to update my receiver i can get one within the 4-600 dollar range that will work. Thanks!

    Hello,
Congratulations on your RT3000p speakers. The built in amplifier powers just the bass section, your receiver will power everything else. A simple way to operate the speaker is to leave the binding post jumper plates in position and use a regular pair of speaker wires from the receiver to the speaker's terminals.
