Great BIO. He's lived in many places of the world and did some great work in the audio world.

An example of the de Paravicini sound is on A Meeting by the River, by Ry Cooder and Vishwa Bhatt. This was recorded on his modified tape recorder on Water Lily Acoustics label.

This one sounds really good, was de paravicini involved with all of the water lily recordings? I read that these two musicians only met about 15 minutes before recording this. -
I believe the earliest recordings were done on one of Mr. Paravicini's decks, not sure what was used later on. Paul Stubblebine (one of the co-founders of The Tape Project) has posted:
"If we had not had one of Tim's one inch two track machines, we may never have even started The Tape Project. Seriously, it was the closest to the source I had ever heard from tape." -

Yes, I read of his passing on one of the local vacuum tube hifi groups. Very sad to hear.
He was well known in certain circles, and there were other circles (as alluded to in earlier posts to this thread) who knew his work well -- whether they knew it or not.
EDIT: Upon reflection, I'll shamelessly quote from Stereophile's obit/remembrance:Tim made analog tape decks for Bob Ludwig, Paul Stubblebine, and James Guthrie, who used it to remaster the Pink Floyd catalog. Tim made two tape decks for David Gilmore of Pink Floyd, rebuilt Paul McCartney’s deck, and made one for Lenny Kravitz. Ringo Starr and George Harrison were customers in this exclusive club.
