PSW505 no power

my sub woofer is not powering up. I've used the coxial cable from the sub to the reciever and a week ago, the green light in front doesn't light up anymore. Any suggestion.

    go into bass management and make sure your subwoofer option is on. Does your display light in the back stay red?

    i made sure the subwoofer setting is on on the receiver, there's no red light on the back. i'm going to swap cable but i'm not sure why the woofer suddenly stop powering up

    Hello,
    Thanks for participating in the Forum, I'm sorry the PSW505 is off line. If you've experienced some power interruptions the internal fuse may be blown. To examine the fuse you would:
    1). Remove the sub-woofer's AC power cord and identify the unit's input plate (this is the section, of the sub-woofer, where all of the connections are made) and remove the 12 Phillips screws that go around the circumference of the amplifier's input plate.
    2). Pull the bass amplifier out of the cabinet and look on the inner surface of the input plate near where the AC power cord comes through the metal plate. There should be a fuse holder that you can check, if the fuse is heavily blackened then don't bother replacing it, there's a problem with the amplifier.
    3). In that case remove the two wires (one red and the other black) from the 12" woofer's terminals, box the amplifier up and send to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154 (I'm assuming you are a resident of the U.S.) and include a short note giving us your name and address and a copy of your sales receipt. The service department will quickly send a replacement amplifier, at no charge.
    4). If, on the other hand, the wire, of the fuse, is simply broken you could replace it with the exact same fuse rating, most electronics stores will be able to match the fuse.
    I hope that's all it is.

    I am having the same problem: No power light (red or green). My PSW505 was working fine until last night. I took the back plate off and looked for the fuse holder, but I cannot find it. What exactly does it look like? Once I find it, it should just pop out with ease, right?

    Hello,
    Check on the rear of the input plate where the AC power cord plugs in. There might be a small drop down door that, when opened, shows the fuse. Of course, remove the power cord from the unit before looking for the fuse.

    After working for many years, my PSW505 has no power. The LED used to show red or green, is now off.
    I checked the fuse next to the power cord with a meter, and it's fine.
    I took the back plate off, but didn't see a second fuse inside, is there? Is there anything else I should look for?

    In all likelihood the bass amplifier is defective and would need repair or replacing. If you have a reliable electronics service shop in your area they can probably help.
