Sleep Mode / Subwoofer positioning

Got my new Signa S2 in a Black Friday deal from Richer sounds today. Already love it. So easy to set up.

Sleep Mode
The manual says the soundbar will go to sleep after 15 mins of inactivity. Is there any way to disable that, please? While I have it hooked up to my TV via HDMI, I also have it connected by AUX to my computer for computer sound, one important use being an audible alert when caps lock is toggled on/off as I'm not a touch typist. I'd prefer to not have a second set of speakers.

Subwoofer positioning
My Tv is one the wall above my desk with the bar on a shelf beneath it. The sub is on the floor beneath the desk. The desk stretched the entire length of the wall. As a consequence, I think I'm getting too much audio separation between the two units. Does that sound plausible?

Same issue, the s2 is broken and it Sucks that Polk doesn't support their products. Seems from what I see here in the forums, that they are putting out cheap even broken products and then can't even answer questions on the forums. Polk Audio is not what they used to be..
