Subwoofer

Bought a Sony Smart TV, syncing my Polk True Surround 2 wireless 5.1 Channel Home Theatre System. It is hooked up with an optical cable to the TV . The green lights were flashing and went solid on the sound bar and the sub woofer but the volume is very low on the subwoofer. I turned up the volume on the Polk's remote, still very low. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. Just doing this by the seat of my pants. Brian
