Polk SL-6502 or Tri Lam campatible Tweeter

Got round to hooking up my RT 600 speakers for the first time in, ooooh 5-10 years. They sound a lot better than all those TV surround boxes we have.
One tweeter is blown. Model is SL-6502 . I checked it against the other cabinet, and its definitely the tweeter, not the circuit/crossover.
I know you cant get these babies any more, so wondering what the optimal polk (or 3rd party even) replacement might be.
Without starting a battle royale here, has anyone ever used none polk replacement tweets in these "legacy" units?
Any recommendations be welcomed. First post. Be gentle.

I've got a spare 6501 in my stash. Not sure if they are interchangeable. @KennethSwauger ?

I'll check.

How are SL5006? Found a pair online pretty inexpensive? Specs similar? Hear the originals were better than anything came later. At least that was the case 10 years ago.

@KennethSwauger Did youever check that 6501 Spec? How about the SL5006 as a replacement? At this point, i rather just wnat something that works, and would buy a pair for either side.
Thanks T. -
I'll re-ask the question, sorry.

IIRC the difference is 6501 has a bucking magnet. No difference in sound but I could be wrong.
-
anyone care to comment on the sl5006 as a possible substitute?

They are checking with the transducer engineers.

Seen this a couple of times now. "Bucking" magnet. What's that about? -

Desktop rig: LSi7, Polk 110sub, Dayens Ampino amp, W4S DAC/pre, Sonos, JRiver
Gear on standby: Melody 101 tube pre, Unison Research Simply Italy Integrated
Gone to new homes: (Matt Polk's)Threshold Stasis SA12e monoblocks, Pass XA30.5 amp, Usher MD2 speakers, Dynaudio C4 platinum speakers, Modwright LS100 (voltz), Simaudio 780D DAC

Only an issue if you're one of the 2 people still using a CRT. They aren't needed with plasma, LED, LCD, OLED, etc...

Thanks for the help guys. @ken brydson not sure that will fit in my RT600 bezel. Can the bezel even be jigged to accommodate the 5601? Would you be interested in $getting rid of it?
While I am at this, is there anywhere you can find specs on the Polk tweeters? Seem to recall reading that its not allowed on here, but could be mistaken.
Be nice to compare dynamic ranges of the units. Still interested in the SL 5006 if they are worth it. I read they are good for 40 watts RMS and 80 peak. How does that compare with the SL6502? Not sure its enough spunk. -
@ken brydson are you interested in selling your 5601?

Happy to sell it but looking at the two they look totally different. I thought they were from the same series, apparently not. Your call...
