S2R wifi & no connection

the wifi antenna on 1 of my S2R's broke off during my last flight home. not sure if anything else was damaged inside, but now when I plug it in, the wifi light gets to the 2nd stage (3 flashes per second), and won't connect to my network.
I've tried resetting, but I can't get the wifi light to get to the slow pulse pattern for pairing.
one odd note: if I hold the setup button while it's in the 2nd stage pattern, I get a "be-BINK" sound & the pattern changes to 2 quick flashes & then a 1 second no-light - eventually I'll hear another "BE-bay-bonk" sound, like it didn't find what it expected. I've never seen this pattern before on any of my other S2R's.
how can I bring it back to life? 1) is it easy to replace the antenna? 2) can I hard-wire it using my monoprice usb/eth adapter? (I've used it successfully on my SB1 - when I plug it into the S2R, the router port lights up but I don't see any new entries in my DHCP table.
thanks!

update: I was able to use my usb/eth adapter on my other 3 S2R's very easily: just plug in & turn on. this 1 bad speaker is definitely injured. couldn't even reflash firmware. so I'll just use it with the bluetooth adapter.

update 2: I kept fiddling with it & finally got it back to the pulsing light - working fine now.
