FS: Velodyne DD10+ Servo Subwoofer

I got 2 of these incredible Velodyne DD10+ servo controlled subs a while back, but I've come to the realization that I'm likely to never use the second.
More info, https://www.velodyneacoustics.com/digital-drive-plus-series/
Comes complete with a calibrated mic, mic stand, various cables, white gloves, remote, owner's manual, auto-EQ sweep test tone disc and a set up program disc, which allows for very sofisticated tweaking via your computer. I took it out when I got to make sure it works and again today to take pics. The only issue is it slipped when I was taking it out today and cracked a bit of the finish on the bottom right side. Other than that it is new. In light of that I'm dropping the price even lower than what I was going to offer it for. This is a tight, musical sub that IMO cannot be beat.
My sale price is $1500.00 plus shipping for a $3700.00 sub.
Double boxed up the weight is in the 85lbs. range, so FedEx shipping will be in the $100.00+ range to the 48.

Love the XLR ins, outs, and High-Pass out. Proper connectivity right there.
Sorry about the drop, hope that you didn't also smash your finger or break your back lifting that bad boy. -
Daaang. That's a good deal. I have spent way too much money in the past week, I need to take a toy break.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Only my pride.
Folks keep in mind that the pics were taken in my shop under extremely bright light making the cracked finish look worse than under normal light.Political Correctness'.........defined

Sounds like a case for Jackie Chiles!!

Just don’t put a poultice on it without Jackie’s approval.

This an incredible deal here. How do I know that? I have 2 of them myself.
Some above said end game sub, very true. They are remarkably fast, super musical, very deep for theater use and small enough to fit in most rooms with ease.
I differ from F1 as I use mine as a pair.Dan

GOOD question ! I hadn't seen that or the Video output RCA... interesting -
Does this come with feet? Also, in the first pic, what is the white streak running diagonally across the back right...just a reflection of some sort?"This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

Yes, it comes with feet, which are like on most subs, stubby little things. They screw in/out, so easily replaced. The white streak at the rear is a reflection and the one at the front is too.Political Correctness'.........defined

I'd have to look that up in the owner's manual, but there's no point as no one uses S-video these days. Velodyne's TOTL Digital Drive subs have been around for a long time.Political Correctness'.........defined

Must be something related to the calibration/room correction features, like the ability to give you a visual plot of the frequency response or something.

You could point out this one is ebony veneer under that high gloss finish
Pic without the grill. The light behind the grill is not bright. It comes on for 2 seconds when it starts then turns off or you can turn it on full time.

Anyone want to speak to differences between bottom-firing vs front-firing subs?"This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

Anyone want to speak to differences between bottom-firing vs front-firing subs?
I think bottom firing can be a little for flexible on placement, but I think the main tradeoff is going to be a loss of texture and detail. That's a generalization of course, but it's my impression.
You'll also notice that as you get into higher end subs they are normally front firing, but subs that add on to soundbars and part of home theater packages are more often down firing. Another generalization, so take it for what it's worth.Analog: MoFi MasterTracker > MoFi UltraDeck > Sutherland 20/20

Put your man pants on, buy the sub and cover the top with a doily and or an orchid.
