So, who is making one of these to keep the Big Rona away during trick or treating...I don't see why throwing candy at kids would be just as effective.

I bought candy, but kids are going to ask for it. Based on past years, let alone the BS with this year, I suspect I will be eating candy for a week.

It's a good thing you recently fired up that dormant gym membership, Bud! Well played.

Halloween and a full moon only happens every 19 years...it's also on a weekend.

1998 I had a 2-month job at the Harris County Coroners building in Houston installing a new CCTV, Access control, and intercom system, it went through a Halloween weekend.

The accidents, murder, suicides etc were astronomical that weekend. Gurneys and body bags were everywhere. All hands on deck for the overload, as the coroners worked 48hrs straight.

I had to hold my hands up to cup my eyes as blinders while walking the halls. It was a gruesome couple days.

    This moon is crazy BRIGHT!

Driving a couple miles last night and looking at the moon at times made wonder what people from a couple of thousand or even tens of thousands of years ago thought about it. :p Stone Henge...

I told my wife that and she said they were probably thinking about HARVESTING. :)

    Sounds like she's a realist.

We had under 20 kids this year. This was the least amount of kids we ever had. I think most of the parents didn't take their kids out as I didn't see many walking around at all. Even the older kids where not out as usual.
We have a ton of candy left over.

Those and Snickers are great frozen. Reese's PB Cups, too. But not 3 Musketeers. I hate those. About as bad as Charleston Chew and Milk Duds, AKA Tooth-Puller-Outers.

Only a handful of really young kids and their parents escorting around my neighborhood this year. I know kids, and some adults I know, still get excited to come up with costumes. People with spare time on their hands put up much more extravagant Halloween decorations.

There haven't been many kids walking around the neighborhood for years now. In recent years most seemed to go to a mall or some other more structured place. It got to the point where so few kids come around we don't bother to stay home and wait anymore. That, and the number of kids who said they couldn't accept anything with chocolate or peanuts in because of food allergies or something.
