I've been very happy with TeraDak LPS. Using one with an Auralic Mini, and another with a ProJect DAC. Upgraded power cables on both. And, both connected to PS Audio regenerator. Very affordable, great customer service from kamkam on ebay, and if @DarqueKnight uses them that's good enough for me.

As an aside, I tried a split leg USB cable from my computer to the DAC for streaming. After establishing the computer/DAC connection, you can disconnect the power leg to eliminate that source of noise. The Mini/TeraDak combination blows that away. But, also, the streaming services randomly sync to your endpoint, and during that process divert the digital stream to your hard drive for uninterrupted listening. After syncing, it attempts to re-establish streaming through the full power/signal connection between the computer and DAC. Because the power leg has been disconnected, this fails and the service drops out. It's an annoyance to have to re-connect and re-establish the stream, then disconnect the power leg again. And, there may be another sync on the way, so rinse/repeat. Dedicated streamer eliminates all of this, and sounds better, to boot.

I have one of these old Radio Shack Power Supplies, 13.8V, 2.5A. The thought has crossed my mind to modify it internally with a simple adjustable op amp voltage regulator to make the output 5V, perhaps with a switch on the front to swap between the two. It would be interesting to see how this compares with the typical wall wart switching mode ps that comes with most audio equipment. I might try it with the Squeezebox Touch to see if there is any improvement. Ah jeez I just created another project for myself :)

There is NO doubt in my mind that a good linear power supply will improve SQ.

I use a Mojo-Audio Illuminati V3 (with dual outputs) to power both my 12vdc music server and 5vdc RPi player.

I find the results outstanding and it's not going anywhere.

Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it. I will be ordering their linear PSU if/when I make an order for the mixer.
