HTS 10 Sound Issues

Hi Everyone. I recently bought an HTS 10 Polk subwoofer. Its connected to my Denon X2500H. Im using LFE connection (new cable). Sub is turned to "yes" on the receiver. I have power to the sub, but no sound. Sometimes the light on the sub goes from green to red. I have the sub set to "auto". I have 2 sub inputs on my AVR, I tried both. I connected my laptop to the sub via RCA cables. I was able to get bass. Is it a bad wire? what else should I be looking for? thanks!

  • Hello,
I would say either the receiver's setup menu isn't working the way it should or the cable is defective since the sub will work if fed a signal. Try substituting the sub cable for one of your other RCA connections, say between the CD player and the receiver. That will tell which one of the two possibilities is the cause.
  • Thanks. I got it to work. didnt do anything new. But, I haD to manually flip the switch to "auto" a few times. Not sure it was a temporary glitch.
