These can be had but have gotten very expensive. Let me know if you find a pair for around $100 or a quad for $200. Really only interested in the 1975 tubes.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

Have you tried the Voskhod? I was blown away with the 6ak5 Voskhod I had.

Like I said I've turned several on to the Voskhod's and no one has disliked them. They're a gem as far as Russian tubes go.
I've got some Russian contacts I've bought from I'll see if they have any. They are also in Ukraine. -
Cool, thanks. I recall somebody saying they were an unknown gem in tubes, just don't recall which version the article was talking about.Yep, my name really is Bob.

The "best" are way out of my price range and even if I thought of spending that kind of $$ the following would leave me out:
Please note that this tube can not be used in place of 6DJ8 or 6922 tubes in other pre-amps; it can only be used in equipment that is designed for it.Yep, my name really is Bob.

Thanks, Marvda I knew that's what you meant. My preamp was actually designed for a 6H30 but he said I could also use a 6922, 7308, or 6DJ8. I am currently using 1950's Amperex 7308 D-getters. Very very nice tube but always wondered what the 6H30 would sound like in comparison. So far I haven't been curious enough to drop the wad they want for the 6H30p-dr, which I'm told is indeed the best of the 6H30's.

Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between the 6922/ 6dj8 and these russian tubes, is the heater current higher? I see a lot of sellers saying they are equivalent. -
The problem with Russian tubes is in my experience and others much more knowledgeable than I have said many are NOT direct replacements for ours because of the way the pins are attached to the internal structure.

see if your pre can run a 7dj8? this is a wonderful sounding tube, it is a drop in replacement for a lot of amps and pres.
