Signa S2 Sub not coming out of standby

After 15 minutes of having the TV muted, the S2 Sound bar turns off (and disconnects from the sub). When I turn the volume back on - the S2 Sound bar works - but the sub doesn't. I have to turn the S2 off with the remote, then back on to get the sub back. Please help.
