The new models center channel and surround speakers don't have the Anti-Diffraction Bezels and Grilles?? has it been determined these were not necessary?
Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
Outlaw ICBM - crossover
Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Yeah, whats up with that? The cs300 I had seemed more than fine without it, actually preferred it to the 400.

I noticed that also. I'm sure the engineers had good reason, but enquiring minds want to know.

looking foward to your thought's on this matter paul. the cs400i is why i went with polk, it is probably one of the best center's i've heard at any price, i would be interested in the sonic differences in 'slimming' it down. it is a bulky center, but the quality of the cs400i makes the bulky size managable for me...

I think this was discussed once before, I suppose you could go with 400i's all the way around but what would the benefit be over using two pair of RT55i's?

the two pairs of rt-55i is some one else, im talking about 5 ls-9is the new ones with the ring tweeters that would be better than the cs400is, they would be all tember matched for discreet suround sound. thanks, joe

My point is this, why would you want to? The drivers on the RT55 and the CS400 are exactly the same. Crossed over differently but the drivers are the same. Same thing with the LSi9 and the LSi center channel. They have the same driver compliment. So what is the advantage?

i thank the advanage of the ls-9i & cs-400i is the tweeter being in the center of the two drivers its like a coaxle speaker where they have the tweeter in the center of woofer but the drivers are sperated, this gives you a clener & move detailed sound, thanks, joe

On a slow day at the office, there's few things more conveniently entertaining than a Polk forum. Your're welcome, joe.:D
