Soundbar cutting out and making clicking sound.

When I start up my Magnifi max soundbar with the tv, it cuts out and makes a loud clicking sound until I turn it off, remove HDMI ARC cable and restart. The other way I prevent this, is turning off the soundbar first, then the tv and next time turn the tv on and then the soundbar. Is this normal?
