How can I explore the problem with a dead Vintage Polk R-16 speaker? No sound at all. I've confirmed that it's the speaker not receiver, connection or wire. Thanks, Charlie

Hi Charlie,
Welcome to Club Polk! Your speaker has four potentially failed components, the 1" tweeter, two 7.5" mid/bass drivers and a crossover. Usually (but not always) the crossover is not likely to be one of the causes. Considering the age of the speaker it might not be easy to find replacement components. Even before I retired from the company, 10 years ago, they were out of the mid/bass drivers. And since the 7.5" is not a standard driver size it is difficult to find any kind of replacement from another company.
Sorry for the disappointing news.
