Brand new should be easily dealt with. Either the carrier or the vendor (dealer) should be liable for the damage. Probably the former, but I'd start with the dealer (were it me) -- a good one would, I'd expect, either help the victim OP out or give good advice to him/her/them.

Best Buy. I'm passing on unboxing the other one & sending them both back. Both boxes arrived fairly beaten up. -

In my experience it would just slide back on and is just glued in place- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Probably a good idea to send back.
Who knows what else is damaged internally.
