Apartment Speaks

Think some LSi7's would be a nice compliment to my SDA-1C's for apartment living? I'm having to move out of the house I'm in and I am trying to be considerate of others. I would only be running one or the other at a time.

Or should I just get my SDA's way the hell off the walls? ;)

Or will I be more disappointed in the LSi's after quite a while of SDA enjoyment?

Thanks,
Wes

I just setup some 7's in the cave, toed in, on the outside of my SRS 2's and enjoying it a LOT so far.

Obviously the huge soundstage isn't there, as is with the 2's - but the stereo image is spot on. I just bought an Audire amp, and I think I'll actually go ahead and setup 2 rigs in that room, so I don't have to do the cable swap each time.

    Go for it.

    Cheers,

Could you tell me a bit about your SDA's?
Were there other speakers in the series
    1A, 1B, 2A, 2C ????

    It ain't easy being ignorant.
    thanks,

    Luc,

The SDA's I have are the latest of the "1" series. I have the Studio versions that do no have the oak caps on the top and bottom and no cloth on the side.

The A's have SDA mids and tweeters. Polk realized that the highs were directional enough that they didn't need a SDA tweet and when the B's came out, the tweets were stacked. From then, Polk upgraded the design to the C's. I guess the cabinet, crossover, and drivers are updated from the B's.

I don't know enough about the "2's" to comment. Maybe Bob or Mike McG or som eof the others will chime in.

I have owned the LSi7 and the LSi9. I was not disappointed with either of them, and liked them a lot. However, I preferred the sound of the SDA CRS+.
