  • So what it sounds like is that you're switching from the dish receiver to netflix on a smart tv or other device. What the main cause of this is that you have your dish receiver plugged directly into your soundbar, so when your TV becomes the device you're using, it doesn't have the output to your sound system.

What needs to happen is your soundbar has to be plugged into your TV directly with either an optical cable or an auxiliary cable in the headphone jack to ensure all sound output is directed to your sound system.

I have the Polk DSB1 sound bar and a Visio smart TV and Cowin bluetooth headphones and having the same problem. When I watch Dish it works fine, but when I watch Netflix the headphones do not work but the Polk still works the same.

The same notes from above apply to your situation as well - please provide detail on your components and your connections between them. Troubleshooting 101 - observation, record details, communication. What provides the Bluetooth service? The soundbar? TV? How is your Dish connected? Which cable types to which components and to which ports?

Just a stab here if all things are connected as they should be, try a different audio configuration for Netflix. If you're outputting 5.1, it may not be down mixing to work with Bluetooth to your headphones. Hard to say at this point, just guessing.
