Anything else out there comparable to the velodyne minivee 8?

In specs and stature? I can't seem to find another mini so are there any diminutive subs that punch like this one?

    Good question, Bruce.
I was looking for mini subs a while back, and was trying to find a Sunfire Super Junior. I've not heard that nor the MiniVee 8. Curious to hear what others say. I think there was something small by REL or Rhythmic, but can't remember which one it was.

Velodyne is supposed to be coming out with a new series, the SPL-X, which would be an updated Minivee.

I have one ( Not connected to anything at the moment ) and the closest thing to it's size and performance is my Definitive Technology Supercube III which is also chillin in my stupid collection. I would absolutely go head to he'd with both of them as they are very close in performance. Both subs will make you laugh as they are so small and so good sounding. It doesn't make sense on how much pressure they put out for being so damn small.

If you're looking to grab something like the Mini V or Micro V then the older Subercube line is a hell of a place to look. They really perform and I like them better then the Sunfire subs. The Sunfire subs put pressure in the room well but the also are not very musical and tight. They tend to boom a bit especially in not ideal placements.

@mantis yes, I forgot about those definitive super cubes. I looked into them but being the polk fan I am I opted to send one of my DSW microPRO for amp repair than replace it.

The Micro Pro's where pretty nice subs. Getting it repaired is probably a good move and cheaper then buying a new one or used.
