HTS 10 making no sound at all

I connected my HTS 10 to my Pioneer VSH-534 receiver. I have tried every conceivable combination of outputs to inputs, and have tried connecting other audio devices, but there is absolutely no sound coming out of the subwoofer. Did I miss something in setup? It seems strange that there is no sound at all coming out, even when the volume is turned up full.
